Interrogation

I wasn’t the only one surprised by the questions asked before we got to security. From the conversations I overheard (I haven’t actually talked to anyone yet), others also felt offput by the El Al agents’ questions about whether we have Jewish names, how much Hebrew we know, the last time we entered a temple, whether our parents are Jewish, why we are going to Israel and so on.

The good news is I didn’t lie (much) and I passed. Also, haven’t yet lost my boarding pass.

The bad news: Taglit-birthright rule that we can’t drink on the flight.

Gotta make a quick stop at the bar, boarding pass in hand.
