- Dan G.: Random macabre story idea. I was driving past a funeral home on the way to work today and wondered if people are cutting back on luxuries in funerals as the economy slows down. I mean, the person's dead anyway. They won't know if their casket is lined with silk or burlap.
- The National Funeral Directors Association also just released the results of its biennial survey of funeral prices on June 2. The average U.S. cost of a funeral went up 10 percent. (to $6,195) since they last surveyed funeral home directors. Unless you don't need a casket. Then it's only $3,930. What a steal!
- Me: dying on the cheap
- Dan: something like that.
- Just strip `em and tip `em.
- Me: are you talking about dead people? or cows?
- Dan: I couldn't think of anything else off the top of my head that rhymed with strip. I realized after I sent it that it just as easily could have been referring to Al's night-time proclivities.
- Me: um, yuck.
